Polyester osmosis repair
A complete osmosis treatment: removing the affected layer, drying, repairing and applying a new waterproof barrier to the hull.
01 The service
Osmosis occurs when moisture penetrates the polyester laminate and causes the typical blisters beneath the gel coat. Left untreated, it progresses and affects the strength and value of the boat.
A proper repair is not cosmetic. It requires removing the affected material, drying the hull fully under moisture monitoring and rebuilding the surface with epoxy systems.

03 FAQ
Your most common questions.
How can I tell if my boat has osmosis?
The most common sign is small blisters below the waterline, which often release an acidic-smelling liquid when burst. A reliable diagnosis needs an inspection and moisture readings.
How long does the repair take?
It depends mainly on how long the laminate takes to dry — anything from a few weeks to several months. After the inspection we give you a realistic timeline.
